Zettlab NAS for local AI
Updated
Is Zettlab good for local AI?
On paper, yes: the D6 Ultra and D8 Ultra combine Intel Core Ultra processors, upgradeable memory to 96GB and a local assistant in ZettOS that reviewers have seen running open models. In practice the Ultra models were still sold-out pre-orders in October 2026, and Zettlab does not ship to the UK.

Which Zettlab models exist?
Zettlab sells two families. The Ultra models, D6 Ultra and D8 Ultra, share a Core Ultra 5 125H, 32GB of DDR5 expandable to 96GB, two 10GbE ports, two USB4 ports and an external PCIe 4.0 x8 connector. The D6 uses a Rockchip RK3588 with 16GB of fixed memory and relies on a companion computer for language model questions.
We found no evidence of a D4 Ultra despite occasional mentions; the one reference on Zettlab's site appears to be a typo.
Is Zettlab available in the UK?
Not directly. Zettlab's shipping policy lists the US, Australia and Singapore, and the Ultra models were pre-orders with no confirmed date when we checked. We keep their pages because the specifications are firm and they are direct rivals to UGREEN's iDX range.
