UGREEN DXP6800 Pro vs UGREEN iDX6011
Updated
Which should you buy?
Buy the iDX6011 if local AI is the reason you are buying: it adds a Core Ultra processor with an NPU and UGREEN's iDX-only assistant and search. Buy the DXP6800 Pro if you mainly need a fast six-bay file server: it costs much less and still takes 64GB of memory for Ollama in Docker.
What is the difference between the DXP6800 Pro and the iDX6011?
Both are six-bay UGREEN NAS systems with two M.2 slots, two 10GbE ports and two Thunderbolt 4 ports, so on storage and networking they are very close. The difference is how much of UGREEN's AI stack you get.
The iDX6011 runs a Core Ultra 5 125H with Arc graphics and an 11 TOPS NPU, and unlocks the iDX-only software: the Uliya local assistant through the Model Manager, semantic file search and Intelligent Learning. Memory is soldered LPDDR5X, 32GB or 64GB, and it has an internal PCIe Gen4 x8 slot.
The DXP6800 Pro uses a ten-core Core i5-1235U with Iris Xe graphics and no NPU. Memory is upgradeable from 8GB to 64GB of DDR5, which is more flexible than the iDX's soldered options, and UGREEN's own guides show Ollama and Open WebUI in Docker. Its internal PCIe slot is x4, so only small low-profile cards fit.
For models up to 32B class, a DXP6800 Pro with 64GB fitted will run them, more slowly and without the polished assistant (Estimated). The iDX6011 is the one built for it.
Choose the UGREEN DXP6800 Pro if
You want six bays and dual 10GbE for storage first, with room to experiment with Ollama later. Paying for an NPU and the iDX assistant is not worth it to you, and you like being able to upgrade memory in stages.
Choose the UGREEN iDX6011 if
Local AI is a main reason for buying. You want UGREEN's assistant, semantic search across your files and a PCIe x8 slot for a future GPU, and you are happy to choose 32GB or 64GB once at purchase.

Which can run bigger local models?
Both top out at 64GB of memory, so on paper they hold the same model sizes: 32B class models comfortably, and 70B class models at 4-bit with little headroom (Estimated). The difference is speed, which depends on the processor, graphics and memory bandwidth rather than capacity.
For GPU acceleration, the UGREEN DXP6800 Pro offers pcie x4 slot, while the UGREEN iDX6011 offers pcie x8 slot. A discrete card with its own memory is the biggest single speed upgrade for local models, so this matters more than CPU cores for anyone planning to run 14B models or larger.
The UGREEN iDX6011 has a 11 TOPS NPU. NAS NPUs help vendor features such as photo recognition and search, but most open-source LLM runtimes do not use them yet.
